Calling all energetic and enthusiastic dance lovers!

Dance Parade New York is seeking a dynamic BIPOC, gender-indifferent emcee to co-host the Grand Stand experience at the 18th Annual Dance Parade in Astor Plaza (4th Avenue & 8th St/Saint Marks). This is your chance to celebrate the vibrant tapestry of NYC's dance scene and share your passion with the crowd!


  • Greet the Grand Stand audience with professionalism and infectious enthusiasm.
  • Deliver a captivating introduction to the Dance Parade's history and significance.
  • Enthusiastically introduce each participating dance group using provided cue cards.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging atmosphere throughout the 2-hour shift.



  • BIPOC and/or gender-indifferent identity a plus.
  • Strong stage presence and clear communication skills.
  • Passion for dance and cultural diversity.
  • Ability to improvise and adapt to the flow of the event.
  • A big, welcoming smile and positive energy!


May 18 Shift Details:

  • Call time: 12:00 pm (noon)
  • Start time: 1:00 pm (following opening announcements and guest speaker)
  • End time: Approximately 4:00 pm
