All Hands Volunteer Meeting

New York City’s largest dance event will be one week away and we need YOU!
Find out what it takes to put on a parade and festival that makes the city smile and DANCE. All those attending will receive a raffle ticket to the hit Broadway musical THE PROM. (7 Tony Award nominations). At the end of Saturday’s meeting we will pick a winner! And an extra raffle ticket will be given to anyone who commits to putting flyers and posters up in their neighborhoods and workplaces!
Learn how the parade and festival operate and sign up for open volunteer positions. All volunteers must fill out our brief team registration form to participate.
Volunteers will get a commemorative MOVEMENT OF THE PEOPLE t-shirt, staff credentials and free admission to the pizza after-party.
A team of over 150 is needed to manage “day-of” parade and festival logistics!
Volunteer Shifts:
9-3pm Parade Setup & Registration (21st & Bway)
9-3pm Festival Setup & Registration (Ave A & 7th St)
11-5pm Parade Operation (Grandstand & Parade route)
2-8pm Festival Operation and Strike (Ave A & 7th St)
