Dance Parade is pleased to invite dancers and dance lovers to join our 15th Annual Dance Parade and Festival online Saturday May 22nd from 1 to 4pm New York Time! The event will be a global, interactive event using thousands of Zoom cameras on performance, teaching and party stages. PARADE AND FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

This past year has been really hard on all of us, including the tens of thousands of dancers we serve.  As a service to the community, we've put together a dynamic event with lots of content so that there's something for everyone! This year we celebrate the theme “Dance Brings Us Together” with dancers from around the world. 

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Kicking off the family-friendly event, is a ceremony officiated by Emcee Jungle to pay homage to healthcare workers and to introduce dance celebrity Grand MarshalsLisa Lisa, H.T. Chen, Dian Dong and Virginia Johnson cut the ribbon, unleashing everything from ballet to breakdance, tango to tap and Japanese to Scottish!

Three concurrent stages allow you to join the global dance community to celebrate all things dance:

Home Stage:  Latina Pop Music Legend Lisa Lisa opens the Parade Grandstand with a live appearance and medley of her life-long work. Join this participatory stage by showing off your dance moves! our scouts go through 1,000 cameras and spotlight those with great energy, costumes and artistry. Get your freak on and dance out to DJ Ali Coleman, participate in a kids dance, tutu jam, cultural spotlight, witness the "Dance Police Lockdown," and take part in Jester of the Peace (Barbara Ann Michaels') “I Dance Like You!” showcase. Join a dance battle by busting out your best moves or vote for your favorite as contestants from the world vye for cash prizes. See the winners of the Dare to Dance Video contest that challenged choreographers to connect to their dancers remotely during this period of isolation and social distancing. Thanks to Nancy Steele of STEELE DANCE, three winners will receive cash prizes will have a portion of their video premiered.
