On Saturday, May 16, 2026 get the best seat on the parade route as 10,000 dancers stop and perform in front of this year’s Grandstand! Watch over 150 dance organizations be announced by our Emcee as they dance their way to Tompkins Square Park for DanceFest. Bring your camera–there’s no other event quite like it!

GET GRAND STAND TICKETS

Where: As usual, Dance Parade's Grand Stand will be stationed as fixed bleacher seating at the intersection of Eighth Street and Fourth Avenue (at Astor Place)

When: Seating begins at 11:30am. Your ticket assures you of a seat in the Grand Stand however, seating is open for those with tickets so for the best seats plan to arrive early.

Why: This location is perfect for viewing the parade and is within walking distance of DanceFest, the post-parade festival in Tompkins Square Park. Our Masters of Ceremonies will announce each group and all dancers will take their turn performing in front of the Grand Stand. Complete with a PA System and state of the art DJ mixing audio platform, watching dance performances by 150+ companies is an experience like no other!

Purpose: Funds raised from grandstand seating will support the cost of Dance Parade & Festival.

Starting at West 17th Street, we will boogie our way down Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue), hula, swing and Irish step our way east across Eighth Street. In Astor Plaza, we will Salsa, Tango and Waltz our way through our Grand Stand with each group being announced by our emcees.

The Grandstand at 8th Street and 4th Avenue (Astor Place) and seats over 300 people.

A straight shot from there brings us to DanceFest in Tompkins Square Park. At DanceFest we will come together and celebrate watching free dance performances, be able to take free dance lessons and enjoy a Dance Party. Our mission is to promote dance as an expressive and unifying art form by showcasing all forms of dance, educating the general public about the opportunity to experience dance and celebrate the diversity of dance.
