Cain Coleman is an award-winning, multi-hyphenate performer and creator based in Brooklyn. With a career marked by time spent with Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, The Martha Graham Dance Company, Philadanco,The Metropolitan Opera, ColemanCollective and The Dragon Sisters, Coleman continues to explore the many possibilities of life as an artist.
As a choreographer and Director, Cain has presented work at The Shed, Judson Church, Brooklyn Museum, Lincoln Center, McKittrick Hotel, The Ailey School, SUNY Purchase, NYU, Cape Cod Dance festival, International Black Theatre Festival, Tribeca Performing Art Center, Abrons art Center, Gibney Dance, Center for Performance Research, and many other venues around the world.
Recently, media outlets like GLAAD, Vogue India, Billboard, Vogue, PaperMagazine, Elle, Wonderland, Ladygunn, Galore, Guinness World Records, Boston Globe, LA Times and the New York Times have recognized Coleman’s work, showcasing them as trailblazers in various industries and avenues in the arts.

Coleman was honored as the Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2021 and also nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the NYC Glam Awards in 2022. Currently on the adjunct Faculty SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance and Marymount Manhattan college, Coleman continues to inspire and educate the next generation of artists with an open heart. @odessadagawd
