Dancing Matters will bring people together in a diverse meetup group centering dance performances and experiences with opportunities to then share in an open and honest discussion shared live in public over bites and/or online. This initiative draws inspiration from and has been partially modeled on the Performance Club founded and facilitated by writer Claudia LaRocco and "dedicated to the arts of democratic criticism, conversation, and exchange surrounding live art," Dancing Matters invites amateurs, dance professionals and enthusiasts alike to join in the adventure of seeking out dancing worthy of critical consideration and support in the metro New York City area.
