Dana fell in love with Dance Parade New York in 2009 when she hopped on the House Coalition float at union square with her sister Andrea. It immediately became her favorite day of the year, and she hasn't missed one since.

She officially joined the Dance Parade publicity team in 2018 to help with Public Relations, which was her area of professional expertise. She secured tv, radio, magazine, newspaper and blog coverage as a publicist. In 2019, she stayed on publicizing the parade, securing coverage in essentially every major news outlet in the city. In 2020, the parade went virtual and she took a pause only to come back in 2021 and 2022 as Grand Stand Lead at Astor Place.

After working with the nonprofit for a few years she realized that the effort needed money more than anything and so she carved out a role for herself as Sponsorship Director from 2023. She secured Dance Parade's first every commercial sponsor: Wegmans!

In 2025, Dana stepped in as Dance Parade Grand Marshal liaison for DJ Danny Tenaglia on the Disco Kitty Float, and in 2026 she is serving as Lead Dance Wrangler at Formation.
