Looking Ahead to 2026 


After months of planning, community engagement, and building momentum, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the inaugural Dance Parade Philadelphia to 2026.

While our vision is strong, the costs required by the City of Philadelphia for police, EMS, and sanitation, led our Board of Directors to determine that more time is needed to do it right.

We’re not going anywhere. We are committed to our desire to launch this event in a way that truly reflects the depth and diversity of the city’s dance community. We are doubling down on building a Philadelphia-based nonprofit dedicated to dance and community engagement.

Our goals for 2026 include: • Hosting dance residencies and classes in schools and senior centers that culminate in the parade • Offering affordable parade floats with sound support for artists and cultural organizations • Creating a more interactive website and social media hub where community members can post events and performances • Building a strong local team and Board of Directors We’re also exploring a partnership with Wawa Welcome America and aligning our parade with Philadelphia’s 250th anniversary in 2026—an incredible moment to share the soul of this city through dance.

We thank all of our early supporters, artists, donors, and partners. Your passion has brought us this far, and we can’t wait to keep building with you.
