DESCRIPTION:After boogieing down Broadway\, sashaying down St. Mark’s and turning it up at Tompkins Square Park at the 16th Annual Dance Parade and Festival … go grab some dinner and then join us for “The Official Dance Parade After Party headlined by Grand Marshal Rich Medina”\nJoining Rich Medina are selectors:\nDJ Misbehaviour + JustMax + Ali Coleman \nThe fun times are happening at the super cool Nublu 151\n151 Ave C\nParty Time: 9pm – 4am\n21+ w/ ID \nOur 2022 theme “Back to the Streets” offers hope and joy as we work our way through the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic and back to our live in-person event. 10\,000 dancers\, dance down Broadway\, through Union Square\, University Place and across East 8th Street to our Grand Stand in Astor Plaza; culminating at Avenue A\, where our 5 performance stage Dance Fest begins. Featuring choreographed performances\, dance lessons\, aerial and social dance – free to the public. There’s something for everyone including performances by culturally diverse participants from the parade and an opportunity to learn dance from the city’s best dance teachers!\nDance Parade is: a 501(c)3 charity whose mission is to inspire dance through the celebration of diversity. Our volunteer supported organization produces the annual Dance Parade on Broadway followed by DanceFest in Tompkins Square Park.
