Nuestra misi\u00f3n es la de promover la danza como una expresi\u00f3n art\u00edstica y unificadora, mostrando todas sus formas, educando al p\u00fablico en general sobre las oportunidades de percibir la misma y celebrando la diversidad del baile en la ciudad de Nueva York, patrocinando un festival y un desfile anual de danza en toda la ciudad.<\/p>\n

WE DANCE FOR CULTURAL EQUITY<\/h4>\n

We represent all dances, including yours. Our 80+ unique dance styles\u00a0are\u00a0the\u00a0world\u2019s largest display of cultural diversity. Keeping historical dances alive, like Armenian Folk dancing and Bolivian Caporales, and showcase new dance forms like Litefeet, Waacking and Brazillian Zouk. Uniting cultures and generations,\u00a0introducing teenagers\u00a0to tango, clubbers to square-dancing, and seniors to hip-hop.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

WE DANCE FOR EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH<\/h4>\n

La danza expresa identidad: la tuya, la m\u00eda y la de amb@s junt@s. Bailar rejuvenece nuestros cuerpos y mentes, nos motiva y hace que compartamos alegr\u00eda. Los bailarines dominan nuevas habilidades, tanto personales como interpersonales, desarrollando la autoestima y el orgullo comunitario. Ponemos en marcha la creatividad con actuaciones, clases, disfraces, carrozas de desfile y nuestra 'Dance Police NYDP' (Polic\u00eda de la Danza), que simp\u00e1ticamente 'multa' a los espectadores por no bailar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

WE DANCE TO EDUCATE AND EMPOWER<\/h4>\n

Certified teaching artists are sent to\u00a0schools\u00a0and community centers.\u00a0Participants discover they can communicate\u00a0vital\u00a0feelings and ideas by dancing, and\u00a0gain\u00a0insight into other\u00a0cultures. We support\u00a0emerging dance groups by reaching broad audiences and document their artistry, which they use for fundraising and promotion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

WE DANCE FOR FREEDOM AND PEACE<\/h4>\n

Nuestra ra\u00edz es la justicia social. Nuestro ritmo es la unidad. En el siglo XIX, en los Estados Unidos, los bailes de sal\u00f3n se consideraban un trabajo del diablo.
