Although not originally from New York, Sarah jumped into the electronic dance scene back in 2000 right after moving to the area. Her love of dance started many years ago when she did ballet and got to go to square dances, where both her grandfather and uncle called dances. Having graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts from Penn State University, Sarah’s love of the arts took form in two separate internships. One of those was working for Eisenhower Auditorium, creating programs for guest speakers from fine arts organizations such as Dance Theater of Harlem and Central Ballet of China to share their experiences with audience members in a “greenroom”. For 10+ years, she has worked in the technology industry, recently taking a new position as a VP of Client Relations for a small IT firm supporting non-profits. Sarah came on board to chair Dance Parade’s marketing committee in 2011. She’s very excited to be a part of such a diverse and challenging project, looking forward to what 2012 will bring!
