LA Kilpatrick, an Alabama native recently relocated to NYC. LA works as a freelance artist in the NYC Dance Community and is a Teaching Assistant at Mark Morris Dance Group. She has worked with the artists Amanda Selwyn, Elie Lazar, Germaul Barnes, Giada Ferrone, Lauren Grant, Teri Weksler, and Winthrop Corey. LA received her BA in Dance and Mathematics from Birmingham-Southern College. She was the recipient of the Expressive Dancer Award in 2009 and Mira Popovich Merit Award in 2010. She was a finalist at the Panoply Choreography Festival in 2008. LA was honored for her interdisciplinary research of the Physics of Dance in 2009.

While attaining her degree, she has also performed with Andalusia Ballet, Montgomery Ballet, and Mobile Ballet. LA also works as a private math tutor in Brooklyn and a Substitute for The Guild for Exceptional Children.LA’s joy of dance and love for the arts has led her to join the 2012 Dance Parade Team. LA serves the Production staff as DP Liaison Coordinator.
