Legal Affairs Team Members

We seek a dynamic and ambitious Legal Affairs Team Member who will protect and advance Dance Parade Inc’s non-profit mission and all-volunteer run organization.

Rewards include experience as a leader in a of a highly successful not-for-profit organization, exposure and relationships with many of New York City’s government and entertainment sectors. Under guidance from our two Co-Executive Directors, the Legal Affairs Director will chair the Legal Affairs Committee that will assist the Legal Committee with some of these tasks:

(a) draft, review, approve, and maintain the Corporation’s contracts and government applications, coordinate and lead all communication with government officials, entities, and the Corporation’s outside counsel, lead and manage all of the legal matters of the corporation

b) acquire applicable permits for the annual Dance Parade and Festival including parade permit, city parks permit, stage and audio permits.

c) acquire insurance policy and ASCAP / BMI music licenses

d) in general, perform duties incident to the office of Legal Affairs Director and such other duties as the Board of Directors may from time to time assign to the Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee.

Dance Parade’s Legal Affairs Team Members will have:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Legal or contract experience (law students considered)
- 4-year college degree
- Powerful drive and motivation
- Great attitude And Passion for Dance!!!!
