LAST CHANCE TO ORDER A FLOAT!
One of the coolest ways to be in the Dance Parade is on a Parade float! Our production team led by Adele Godfrey is now working with Parade Group Coordinators to create a beautifully decorated float, fully loaded sound system, making it all super easy to be ready upon arrival at the parade formation at 21st Street and Broadway! The deadline to order a float or register a vehicle is April 30th. Email email@example.com or join our 6pm Coordinators Meeting Friday April 29th to learn how you can score one! (280 Broadway, entrance at 53 Chambers)
Up to 10 floats will be featured in 2016 and some of them are:

<= NA OIWI POLYNESIAN FLOAT:
iNa Oiwi is a cultural education & advocacy group based in New York City. The purpose of this hui is to bring together Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiians), Hawaii natives and other like-minded people to celebrate our culture as well as that of other indigenous groups. Hear their story and help them gather to dance in NYC HERE.
<= HOUSE COALITION FLOAT: No parade group has had more floats in the Dance Parade than this group. Vibrant with color, packed full of balloons, this will band of hundreds of dancers now how to shake it. Check out there Campaign HERE.
EXPG FLOAT: EXPG is the first and only dance studio in the world to focus exclusively on street dance styles. The instructors are world-renowned teachers, with experience spanning from international celebrities to worldwide competition championships.
<= AKIM FUNK BUDDHA FLOAT:
For the past 10 years Akim has been researching and doing theatrical presentations called the Urban Tea Ceremony, a mergance of Japanese traditions with elements of classic Hip Hop culture. This performance will take place in an imaginary Tea house with an international cast of musicians and dancers. For the past 5 years he has attended the Dance Parade but never on a float. <= SHUANG WEN SCHOOL DANCE COLLECTIVE AND APEX FOR YOUTH FLOAT:
For the past 5 years Shuang Wen school math teacher Kevin Yuhas has an after-school dance class with a focus on the elements of the original hip-hop styles. Let’s help this deserving group get a float by clicking HERE!

Using dance exercise for health, Moving For Life’s Therapeutic dance has been a solid presence in Dance Parade for many years. We congratulate Moving for Life’s non-profit 501(c)(3) status and are supporting their GoFundMe campaign for a float — And you should too HERE!
