Through a combination of an exciting Facebook voting round followed by a select Dance Parade Team voting round, these photos were chosen based on how well they display and capture the most intimate moments as well as the most grand and joyous moments of the parade and festival. The action packed day offered a plethora of visual stimulations including colorful costumes worn by dancers from all over the world, showcasing a record breaking 77 styles of dance from over 150 different groups and organizations. These numbers propelled us high above previous years making our 2014 parade and festival on Saturday, May 17th our most successful and ambitious to date! Luckily, the talent and passion doesn’t stop there as we have you, our talented photographers from amateur to professional, to thank for capturing so many profound and perfect images for us to help create our first ever Dance Parade Photo Yearbook! The Grand Prize Winner, Second Place Winner and Third Place Winner will receive a copy of the book and a selection of their photos will be highlighted followed by the twelve runners up and more! Without sounding cliche, you all certainly did not make it easy to decide on the winners this year. So many gorgeous shots were submitted and quite a large percentage of them will end up being published for sure. Thank you all once again for taking the time to submit, share links and spread the magic of dance through your art!
